To perform basic High Power Test Lab functions during shift and to lead a subordinate.  Fill in for Test Lab Supervisor when not available, support Engineering teams on all projects, support Marketing teams and conduct testing for outside customers. 


·         Coordinate the schedule of the Labs for special projects, listing services, certification programs, resubmitted follow-up programs and internal/external customer testing with the Test Lab Supervisor.

·         Conduct high fault current, time current and cycling testing in accordance with test standard specifications.

·         Maintain all of the Labs’ Power Generation and associated Test Equipment.·         Assure the Lab procedures comply with ISO functions to maintain certification.

·         Cross train lab personnel and associates on all procedures associated with the Labs.·         Maintain a high degree of working knowledge of listing services standards.

·         Evaluate Test Data and Test Performances to support Design Engineers’ theories.

·         Recommend upgrades and justify reasons for Safety, Power Generation and Data Acquisition upgrades.

·         Assist on Team Projects as required.

·         Travel to Test Facilities for Product Development and Certification Test Programs.

·         Keep the lab and equipment clean. 


·         Assure that internal testing does not exceed a one-week turn around time.  ·         Outside customer and internal customer satisfaction.

·         Maintenance is completed on time and the proper maintenance documentation is up to date.  POSITION REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES AND ABILITIES)

·         Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.

·         Working experience with PC operating platforms (Windows, Excel, and Word).

·         General knowledge of Transformer Theory, Solid State Components and Electromagnetic Fields.

·         Ability to understand and troubleshoot Control Systems to the Component Level.·         Knowledge of Data Acquisition Systems and IEEE Interface Systems.

·         Must be capable of communicating with internal engineers and customers.
